Mosaic Trust Charged with Extending the Legacy of
Peter F. Drucker

NASHVILLE, TN—The Drucker Archive and Claremont Graduate University have hired Mosaic Trust to accelerate efforts to preserve, protect, and promote the legacy of Peter F. Drucker, often called the Father of Modern Management.  The passing of Peter Drucker has brought global attention to his contribution with over seven decades of work including over 10,000 written pages, 35 books, thousands of articles, and a rich oral history.

The mission of the Drucker Archive is to preserve the profound intellectual legacy of Peter F. Drucker and to manage that legacy to the benefit of the scholarly community, the institution and the practice of management as a whole. “Meeting with Peter” says Derek Bell, owner of Mosaic Trust, “six short weeks before his passing is an experience I will always cherish.  I am thankful to Bob Buford for taking me to meet Peter.  Meeting the greatest business thinker of the last century can only be trumped by the honor of working to solidify his legacy.  His ideas have been paramount to my entire business career and spill over into almost every area of my life.”

The Drucker Archive has been a work in progress for years.  The addition of Mosaic Trust will increase capacity and bring specific experiences to the efforts.

Comments from The Economist, Trusting the teacher in the grey-flannel suit, November 17th, 2005

The biggest problem with evaluating Mr. Drucker’s influence is that so many of his ideas have passed into conventional wisdom—in other words, that he is the victim of his own success.

Asked which management books he paid attention to, Bill Gates once replied, “Well, Drucker of course,” before citing a few lesser mortals.

About Mosaic Trust

Mosaic Trust spends its time working with two types of clients that are inextricably bound to ideas! Authors write their ideas down and share them with the world.  As a literary agency, Mosaic Trust works in the space between authors and publishing houses—proving to each the benefit and market value of working with the other.

Social sector organizations live and die for their mission—their ideas.  Non-profits, educators, churches, and other social sector organizations work to spread their ideas, help people understand the merits of their ideas, and use resources (chief among them—people) to achieve results that answer their calling.
